Signature of MoU: IBC & SICCI – Deepening Economic Relations Between Mauritius and India

On Monday, 18th November 2024, the Indian Business Council (IBC) and the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) took a significant step toward fostering stronger economic ties between Mauritius and India by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The event was held at the Flamboyant Auditorium, Economic Development Board (EDB), Ebène, and brought together leaders, stakeholders and business professionals from both nations.

The event began with a series of addresses by prominent figures, including:

  • Mr. Krishna Pather, President, The Tamil Chambers of Commerce and Professionals, Mauritius
  • Dr. Suresh Nanda, President, Indian Business Council
  • Mr. Vinod Solomon Ponnurathinam, Secretary General, SICCI
  • Mr. AmpaPalaniappan, Vice President, SICCI

Following the official signing of the MoU, attendees were introduced to the SICCI delegation, highlighting the expertise and opportunities for collaboration.
