In line with its focus on building business opportunities for its members and the members of partner business associations across India, IBC and the EDB organised a business talk by Mr. Sewraj Nundlal, Director, Agri Industry, Ocean Economy and Renewable Energy, Economic Development Board.
The intent was to showcase the enormous opportunity of Renewable energy in Mauritius. Besides the members of IBC, it is also included several invitees who are working actively in the area of renewable energy in Mauritius.
While Mauritius is a small island, it has immense opportunities in for developing non-conventional (renewable) energy sources to diversify its energy mix including Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Biomass Energy, Small-scale Hydropower, and Ocean Energy.
The government of Mauritius has outlined its plans to increase the share of renewables in the energy mix and this will present immense business opportunities.
IBC will also be soon working on opportunities in Agri Economy and Ocean Economy.
